Jakarta – The upcoming Indonesia–China Partnership Forum 2026: Advancing Green Energy and Future Technology is expected to strengthen bilateral economic ties and accelerate investment in Indonesia’s strategic industries, particularly renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and healthcare technology.

Ismeth Wibowo, Commissioner of PT Sunra Asia Pacific Hi-Tech, said the forum comes at a crucial time as Indonesia seeks to accelerate its energy transition while advancing its digital economy through stronger international partnerships.

“Indonesia and China have built increasingly robust economic relations over the past few years. This forum is expected to further enhance Chinese investors’ confidence in Indonesia, particularly in strategic sectors prioritized by the government, including renewable energy, future technologies and the healthcare industry,” Ismeth said.

The forum is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, beginning at 9 a.m. It is being organized through a collaboration involving the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, the Foreign Ministry, and the Investment and Downstream Industry Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

The event is expected to become one of the most significant Indonesia–China business gatherings of the year, bringing together 28 Chinese entrepreneurs and investors specializing in renewable energy, artificial intelligence and healthcare technology.

Senior government officials from both countries are slated to deliver keynote presentations, including Tony Susandi, Director of New and Renewable Energy at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, and Li Hongwei, Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia. Both are expected to outline new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in green investment and technological innovation.

The forum will also be attended by several prominent Indonesian figures, including Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie, Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia Djauhari Oratmangun, Deputy Investment and Downstream Industry Minister Andi Maulana, Danareksa president director Ngurah Wirawan, Foreign Minister’s senior adviser Zelda Wulan Kartika, and Indonesian Consul General in Guangzhou Arianto Surojo.

Organizers expect the gathering to generate concrete business partnerships that will support industrial downstream development, facilitate technology transfer, accelerate clean energy deployment and create new employment opportunities across Indonesia.

Indonesia is currently pursuing an ambitious agenda to transform its economy through renewable energy development and high-technology industries as part of its Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. In this context, attracting high-quality foreign investment remains a key pillar in enhancing national competitiveness while promoting sustainable economic growth.

With growing global demand for clean energy solutions and advanced technologies, the Indonesia–China Partnership Forum is expected to serve as an important platform for translating bilateral cooperation into long-term investment commitments that benefit both countries.
