IndonesianTalk.com – Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker RI), Ir. H. Afriansyah Noor, M.Sc., IPU., received a special honor in the form of the traditional title “Prince of Rimbun Alam Cipta Negeri” from the Traditional Advisory Institute (LPA) of Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra Province. The presentation of this honorary degree took place at the Smart Hotel Ballroom on Thursday, 09 May 2024.

The traditional title awarding ceremony was witnessed by a number of important figures, including the Acting Mayor of Lubuklinggau, Trisko Defriyansyah, Chairman of the Lubuklinggau City DPRD, Rodi Wijaya, Acting Regional Secretary H Tamri, and former Mayor of Lubuklinggau SN Prana Putra Sohe.

Also present were the Regent of Musi Rawas, Ratna Machmud, as well as several officials from South Sumatra, Jambi and West Sumatra (Sumbar), as well as 360 traditional leaders from 72 sub-districts and 8 sub-districts in Sebiduk Semare City.

Chairman of the Lubuk Linggau City LPA, Rahman Sani, explained that the awarding of this traditional title was an appreciation for the contribution and dedication of the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Afriansyah Noor in the field of employment, as well as his harmonious relationship with the indigenous communities in Lubuklinggau City.

Rahman Sani also added, “Giving the traditional title ‘Prince of Rimbun Alam Cipta Negeri’ has the meaning of being an official who drives the welfare of the country.

“Moreover, the Deputy Minister’s presence in Lubuklinggau since his childhood strengthens the meaning of this award.”

Responding to this award, Indonesian Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said that giving this traditional title is a culture that should be maintained and developed.

He hopes that this traditional institution will become part of the traditions and culture of Lubuklinggau City which will help cultivate noble values.

“I feel very honored to be given this title, especially because I am a native who grew up in Lubuklinggau.

“Hopefully this gift can motivate me to continue to play an active role in building a better Indonesia,” said Indonesian Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor, closing his interview.
