SUNRA, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer from China, captivated both the public and the judging panel at the prestigious PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2025 in Collaboration with Asiabike Jakarta (ABJ).

During the lively closing ceremony, SUNRA proudly took home two prestigious awards: Best Booth Motorcycle and Favorite Innovative Scooter, reinforcing its status as a trailblazer in the two-wheeled electric vehicle market.

Ismeth Wibowo as Commissioner of PT Sunra Distributor Indonesia and Commissioner of PT Sunra Retail Indonesia stated that the award at PEVS 2025 was the real work of the leadership, staff and employees where it is hoped that the company’s performance can continue to increase.

Strong Performance at PEVS 2025

As Indonesia’s largest electric vehicle exhibition, PEVS 2025 recorded remarkable achievements, drawing over 40,000 visitors throughout the event—surpassing its initial target by 2.5%.

On the commercial front, PERIKLINDO Chairman Moeldoko announced that the event had generated Rp 912 billion in sales as of May 3, 2025. This impressive figure demonstrates sustained public enthusiasm for electric vehicles in Indonesia, even as the global automotive market experiences a slowdown.

SUNRA Showcases Innovation and Commitment to Sustainability

SUNRA’s presence at PEVS 2025 was more than a product showcase; it was a statement of the company’s dedication to building a sustainable transportation ecosystem.

Represented by key stakeholders such as Ismeth Wibowo, Wu Jianhua, Guo Biao, and Franky Noventus, SUNRA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the clean energy transition across Asia, including Indonesia.

As an active member of AISMOLI (Indonesian Electric Motorcycle Industry Association), SUNRA contributes to cross-sector collaboration in public education, infrastructure development, and policy support for electric vehicles.

Launch of New Products: “Future” Series and Premium Models

One of the highlights of the SUNRA booth was the launch of its new electric vehicle lineup, “Future”, offered in three power variants: 1500W with a Graphene battery, 2500W and 3000W with Lithium batteries

The highest variant boasts a range of up to 115 kilometers on a single charge, making it an ideal choice for both urban and suburban mobility.

In addition to the “Future” series, SUNRA also introduced two premium models: Bowen and Angela—modern e-bikes designed with a focus on comfort and safety. These models are targeted at consumers seeking sophisticated, eco-friendly transportation solutions.

Advanced Technology for Safety and Durability

SUNRA also showcased several advanced features that stood out at PEVS 2025, including: TCS (Traction Control System) for improved stability on slippery surfaces or during rapid acceleration

BMS (Battery Management System) which automatically shuts down the motor when battery temperature rises, preventing damage

IPX7 Certification, ensuring water resistance up to 1 meter for 30 minutes—particularly relevant for Indonesia’s tropical climate

Accelerating EV Adoption in Indonesia

SUNRA’s success at the event highlights how superior technology and thoughtful design can attract not just consumers but also the broader automotive industry.

Its presence bolsters the momentum toward widespread adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia, including in rural areas where interest in sustainable mobility solutions is steadily growing.

As a vital part of PEVS 2025—which also featured seminars, business matching sessions, test drives, and educational programs—SUNRA’s achievements mark a significant step forward in the advancement of Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem.
