Another distinctive feature is that each team is guided by a non-playing captain who plays a crucial role in strategizing for victory. Players are selected through a snake draft system, ensuring a fair and competitive distribution of stars. Additionally, BDMNTN-XL introduces 3v3 matches, allowing captains to make unlimited player substitutions between sets, showcasing tactical intelligence and enhancing the excitement of the game.
World-Class Stars to Join
The tournament offers nearly USD 1 million in prize money, making it a highly competitive event filled with stellar performances from top global athletes. Badminton fans will be treated to the presence of Jonathan Christie, the 2024 All England Champion, and Greysia Polii, the 2020 Olympic gold medalist. Moreover, Viktor Axelsen, the world number one, and Ratchanok Intanon, the world champion from Thailand, will also grace the event.
Additionally, this tournament will be the first opportunity to witness different doubles pairs in a new draft system.
