Indonesiantalk.com — South Sulawesi Provincial Government Ready to Implement Main Textbook on Pancasila Education at All Educational Levels
Makassar – The Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Prof. Drs. K.H. Yudian Wahyudi, M.A, Ph.D, expressed his gratitude to the South Sulawesi Provincial Government for their readiness to implement the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education across all educational levels.
According to him, the implementation of the Main Textbook is mandated by Government Regulation No. 4 of 2022 concerning National Education Standards.
Pancasila Education is declared as a mandatory subject in the curriculum of every educational level to promote the practice of Pancasila values in community, national, and state life.
“Thus, the implementation of the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education, which emphasizes Pancasila in action, is expected to strengthen students’ knowledge, beliefs, and habituation,” he stated during the opening of the Strengthening of Pancasila Network Through the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education in South Sulawesi Province, Friday (26/7).
He emphasized that Pancasila Education differs significantly from the previous Civics and Pancasila Education (PPKn).
“In the implementation of the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education, 30 percent of the content is cognitive material, and 70 percent is practical,” he asserted.
He also hopes that this activity can be a means to maximize the implementation of the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education at every educational level in Indonesia.
The Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, explained that the ideology and values of Pancasila are crucial to instill from an early age in the nation’s future generations.
“Therefore, I urge all educators in South Sulawesi to use this book,” he emphasized.
He even hopes that educators will convey and teach this lesson with love and compassion to their students.
“Teach these Pancasila values wrapped in love and affection, or simply one word: Love,” he urged.
The official from the Ministry of Home Affairs, who has served three times as Acting Governor in three provinces on Sulawesi Island, admitted that the implementation of the Main Textbook is very appropriate.
“So, ladies and gentlemen, let’s spread the message of tolerance and values of love for our nation, starting from South Sulawesi,” he elaborated.
He even emphasized that South Sulawesi Province is ready to become a model region for instilling Pancasila values through the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education.
The Deputy for Inter-Institutional Relations, Socialization, Communication, and Network of BPIP, Ir. Prakoso, M.M, reported that the event was attended by representatives of educators from primary to higher education levels in South Sulawesi.
“The strengthening of the Pancasila educator network is crucial to forming a generation with noble character, integrity, and love for the homeland,” he said.
Through this main textbook on Pancasila education, structured guidance is provided to effectively instill Pancasila values.
“In South Sulawesi, the use of the main textbook is expected to improve the quality of learning and strengthen Pancasila values, with support from various stakeholders, including parents, so that the younger generation can become intelligent, noble individuals ready to face the future,” he explained.
The aim of this event is to quickly provide understanding to teachers so that the Main Textbook on Pancasila Education can be promptly applied to students.
“It is hoped that the realization of this Main Textbook will fulfill the hopes of the nation’s founders for Indonesia to become a great nation in the world, as part of our target towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he concluded.
