Indonesiantalk.com — Chairman of AMDI, Budi Jojo, Visits Indonesian Olympic Committee Office for Friendly Gathering
In a warm and spirited atmosphere of camaraderie, Budi Jojo—Chairman of the Indonesian Digital Media Association (AMDI), Editor-in-Chief of Matra Magazine, and CEO of Eksekutif Magazine—paid a courtesy visit to the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) office on Monday, June 2.
The visit was part of an informal gathering initiated by KOI’s executive board, fostering friendship and open dialogue between the media and the sports world.
Adding a special touch to the occasion was the celebration of KOI Secretary General Wijaya Noeradi’s birthday. The event took place at the KOI office located on the 16th floor of the MOS Building, Jalan Pintu Senayan 1, Jakarta, in a warm and familial setting.
As one of the three main pillars of the Olympic Movement—alongside the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and international sports federations—KOI plays a vital role in nurturing and representing Indonesian athletes on the global stage.
Desra Firza Ghazfan, KOI Deputy Secretary General, who hosted the gathering, emphasized that KOI’s mission extends beyond athlete development alone.
“KOI actively contributes to the advancement of national sports and supports the government in dispatching Indonesian contingents to international events such as the Olympics, Asian Games, and other multi-sport competitions,” said Desra.
Also attending the gathering were KOI Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari—widely known for his down-to-earth and visionary leadership—and KOI Vice Chairman Ismail Ning, who warmly welcomed all guests with his approachable manner.
The event was also graced by prominent figures from the Indonesian sports scene, including Jadi Rajagukguk, Hengky Silantang, Josephine Tampubolon, Endri Erawan, KOI Deputy Treasurer Aang Sunadji, and Krisna Bayu—a KOI Ethics Council member and legendary judo athlete who represented Indonesia in three Olympic Games (Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, and Athens 2004).
Cresida Mariska, another KOI Deputy Secretary General, underscored the importance of openness and collaboration with the media: “This is our shared home. KOI is always open to collaborating with media outlets that are committed to promoting the progress of Indonesian sports, both nationally and internationally,” she stated.
Following a shared lunch, Budi Jojo—who is also known by his pen name, SS Budi Raharjo—was given a tour of KOI’s facilities, which span from the 16th to the 19th floor of the building.
The visit highlighted a strong spirit of collaboration between the media and sports sectors, reflecting shared optimism for a brighter and more successful future for Indonesian sports.
